In my Planning Application class we learned how to asses the Green Infrastructure for the town of Cape Charles on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. Cape Charles is very vulnerable to future sea level rise caused by climate change making it critical that the town conserves and protects its natural assets. My group was focused on the urban treescape as well as protecting the native vegetation pattern of the area. We developed an extensive list of strategies and recommendations for the town of Cape Charles to become more sustainable and resilient in the future.
